Background
Turkey's agricultural sector, a vital part of the national economy, faced significant challenges in adopting digital technologies. Small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises lacked access to advanced tools like AI, IoT, and High-Performance Computing that could transform their operations and competitiveness in the European market.
Our Approach
CAGE Projects led the strategic coordination and proposal development for AgrInnovate EDIH under the Digital Europe Programme. We built a comprehensive consortium of 9 prominent stakeholders spanning technology providers, agricultural institutions, universities, and development agencies. As Project Coordinator, we established clear communication channels with the European Commission, developed the operational framework, and designed the service delivery model for SMEs.
Impact & Results
AgrInnovate EDIH was successfully approved and launched in January 2025. The hub now provides digital maturity assessments, AI and IoT training programs, and innovation support services to agricultural SMEs across Turkey. The project represents a €2.1M investment in Turkey's agricultural digital transformation, positioning the country as a leader in agri-food innovation within the European ecosystem.
