Background
The Izmir region, home to Turkey's most productive agricultural lands, lacked a dedicated innovation center to bridge the gap between agricultural producers and cutting-edge technology. Stakeholders recognized the need for an ecosystem management company that could accelerate digital adoption and connect farmers with research institutions and technology providers.
Our Approach
Over four years at Izmir Commodity Exchange, we orchestrated the establishment of İTTM from concept to operational entity. This involved conducting comprehensive stakeholder mapping, developing compelling business cases, and engaging Turkey's three largest banks (Türkiye İş Bankası, Denizbank, and Ziraat Bankası) as founding shareholders. We secured seed funding through strategic partnerships and grant applications while building the organizational structure and governance framework.
Impact & Results
İTTM launched as a cutting-edge ag-tech ecosystem management company with over €3M in seed funding. The center achieved a 184% increase in stakeholder engagement and now serves as the foundation for multiple EU-funded initiatives, including AgrInnovate EDIH. İTTM has become a model for public-private partnership in agricultural innovation.
